ARCHES (South West America)

Arches National Park - Summer 2008 - EOS 400D - M. Caciolli

Another great American park! We are in Utah, one of the states most beautiful in the South West of America made canyon of red earth, very large space where the eye wanders from the infinite blue skies and mountains carved by time.
Arches, a huge park where water, wind, and time have created sculptures of dramatic: more than 4000 natural arches of different shapes and sizes, where silence reigns interrupted only by the whistling of the wind. An incredible nature that seems made of ductile rock, sculpted by a divine hand that created the masterpieces beautiful than any human hand.

I Just Got My Car Painted

CLIFF PALACE (USA)

Cliff Palace - Summer 2008 - M. Caciolli EOS 400D

America again, this time in Colorado and in particular the Mesa Verde National Park.
A fascinating place rich in history, where you can come in close contact with the peoples of the ancient Anasazi Indians, ancestors of today's Navajo.
Their homes are built inside the walls of the Canyon, in a manner unthinkable so that one wonders how did we build such works without any means at its disposal except their own strength and some rope.
It 's a powerful feeling to be to wander through these small towns suspended, now abandoned, where the spirit seems to hover over the Indians watching you through the mists of time.
A strange silence, broken only by the shrill cries of birds and then nature has remained intact ....
E 'Verame fascinated to discover the ancient customs of the Indians, how they lived, how they got the food, what they ate, how they spend their days, their culinary habits and religious ... istruttuvo and fascinating journey through an ancient culture but still very present.

Antelope Canyon (USA)

Antelope Canyon - Summer 2008 - Eos 400D

Still picture of beautiful and romantic a corner of America among the most secret and details .... We are in Arizona, near the border with Utah, close to Lake Powell, un'iimensa expanse of water to the artificial boundary between these two beautiful states.
navayo an Indian reservation, and a surreal silence in the middle of a desert area here appear like a fairy tale this strepistoso hidden canyon, a deep and narrow gorge where even the light finds it hard to enter except in certain special hours.
Silence osxcurità and flashes of light are the characteristics Antelope Canyon (Upper), a tunnel dug by a small river and discovered almost by chance by a peasant navayo almost 40 years ago.
A small gem set in a landscape views, where time seems to stand still and where the soul of those who visit it seems to wander between the spirits of the Indians .....
Lights, colors, shadows, magic and enchanted ....

Las Vegas (USA)

Las Vegas - Summer 2008 - EOS 400D - M. Caciolli

Finally we are in Las Vegas .. almost like a dream but what we are facing is really the city that we saw on TV many times in movies and now before our eyes stands out as an immense charm carnival a city of lights, sounds, colors, fun, music and the most outrageous and out of the town you can imagine.
40 degrees at 11 pm and the music booming from the huge casino, motionless air of the hotels where the bright lights illuminate this surreal corner of the Nevada desert.
Limousine, people of every race that flows like a river through the streets crowded outdoor bar where even serve a drink becomes a game, fountains, giant puppets and loud music .. these are the feeling you get walking in the Las Vegas Boulevard.
It 's like being in a huge game of Monopoly, delighted with his eyes wandering between these huge hotel / casino where everything is taken to the nth degree and emphasized the highest degree.
The city of the absurd, of vice, music, outrageous and crazy .... but at least once deserves to be lived and savored.

Death Valley (USA)

Sand Dunes - Death Valley - Summer 2008 - EOS 400D - M. Caciolli

Finally, after having wandered through San Francisco, take the rental car and head towards a magical and surreal ... Death Valley.
Upon arriving in the vicinity of the stifling heat of August already beginning to be felt and the degrees increasing minute by minute up to a height of 52!
The sensation is like being in front of a tube from which the hot air comes out strong wind blowing on the skin.
With the windows closed strictly go through this incredible corner of the world, where the view is kidnapped by shadowy illusions of small animals, wild plants and sand dunes.
The wind blows strong and the feeling of being in an alien world almost every mile is amplified while the dunes are getting closer.
out of the car is a challenge in itself exciting, but you can not resist the charm of this land that despite its hardness penetrates the soul in a way so bully.
With the camera captured it all that surrounds us, and a hot wind blowing around our bodies, making us sweat despite the cream and hat ....
It 's really a feeling not describe in words what you feel in this place, where sense of direction seems to slip away and brought away by the wind where the world takes on color and unique flavor and do not forget.

Monument Valley (USA)

Monument Valley - Summer 2008 - Canon Eos 400D - M. Caciolli

Monument Valley, a paradise in the open! We are in Arizona in the wild where it seems to still hear the echo of the Indians and cowboys.
An expanse of land punctuated by bright red as these massive red rock against a background of sky blue crayon.
An immense landscape where what is striking is its vastness, the breadth of vision that can not find the boundaries.
The wind that blows dolcemnet briuciata on this earth by the sun rays at sunset is the land that the fiery rocks transforming the landscape into a fiery explosion of ...
Riding between these monuments is an experiment like reliving the past, understand what they have experienced the Indian running with their horses in this land, feel in touch with nature and live strong and conflicting emotions.
Indian Land with all its contradictions, its spirituality and its strength, but definitely a magical place of great inner depth.
